About
Minute of Islands is a transformational journey in a faltering world.
Explore strange and wonderful islands and dark labyrinths below in this classic comic-style narrative puzzle platformer. Guide young mechanic Mo on her quest to repair a world on the brink of collapse. The powerful Omni Switch at your disposal may not be enough to fix the damage that hides beneath the surface…
Story
The game places players in a strange and beautiful archipelago, polluted by dangerous spores. The only thing keeping the series of islands safe are mysterious antennas built when Giants lived alongside people. But the machines are now failing, and the only person who can repair them is engineer, Mo, and her versatile Omni-Switch.
Driven to protect her family and friends, Mo sets out on a quest where she encounters a cast of curious creatures along the way. But, as she uncovers the truth of the islands and the giants living below the surface, she will begin to learn that maybe her focus and stoic ambition are not always the assets she believes them to be. It’s this realisation that leads Mo on a journey over the haunted islands of her homeworld and into the depths of her subconscious. It’s a journey that will have players discovering more about the islands and Mo, while also having them examine their own lives and priorities.
Minute of Islands is brought to vibrant life through its bold comic-book art style. It’s a look that sets the world apart from other games and adds to the charming personality of all of the strange and wonderful characters that Mo meets on her adventures. The world of the game is full of intricate details and tiny discoveries in nooks and crannies waiting to be explored.
DLCs
Digital Artbook
The Minute of Islands Digital Artbook consists of 24 double pages and contains artworks and sketches produced before and during the development of the game. Additional commentary gives exclusive insight into the development.
Available on Steam and as part of the Digital Collector’s Edition on GOG.com.
Digital Soundtrack
Discover the different sonic landscapes of the atmospheric platform adventure game „Minute of Islands“ by Studio Fizbin. Embark on a colorful acoustic journey ranging from catchy melancholic melodies to dark nightmarish textures. The music was rearranged, extended and remastered for an immersive and entertaining listening experience.
Thomas Hoehl, award winning film and video game composer, wrote an adaptive emotional score with an unusual collection of instruments and musical styles that lets you experience the emotional rollercoaster of Mo, the female protagonist of the game. Each of the various islands you visit in the game was approached with a different but coherent soundset in mind mirroring their nature and inhabitants.
The soundtrack also contains bonus tracks that did not make it into the game.
Available on Steam, on GOG.com as part of the Digital Collector’s Edition, as well as on Spotify and Bandcamp.
